Basically I need to up tomorrow morning, and it's crucial I wake up at 6am tomorrow.

Me being a sleepy-head, I'm scared I'll turn the alarm off and wander back into bed. So I want to set 3 alarms - alarm clock, mobile and telephone reminder.

My problem lies with the telephone reminder. I am with NTL, and I am not sure if they provide a service for one morning.

Hell, I'll even Paypal somebody on here a quid or two to set a dial-up modem to dial my number in the morning at around 6:05am.

Links, phone numbers - they will all be most welcome!

Just stick your alarm clock on the other side of the room. And then...not go back to bed?

Old wives tale alert.... but beating your head against your pillow, whilst you're lying down before going to sleep, the number of times equivelent to the hour you want to wake up at (in your case 6) will supposedly cause you to wake up at that hour.

Total superstition, but I have to admit it has worked on my once or twice... If you don't accept that put your alarms across the room so you have to get out of bed to turn them off.

Frankly when you have to wake up you should be aware enough to know that you must get up.

Good luck with it though.

It already is. I've been known to get out of bed, alarm clock off and go back to bed. :o

Hell, I even woke up to one alarm, couldn't be bothered to turn it off, so went back to sleep again!:o :D

set your PC up with an event set to go off at 6am (iirc it's in the control panel, set the time and point it to an mp3)

That usually works with me, something that starts off soft but ends loud

Being nosey :p - Why do you need to get up?
Bleh, long story short follows.

Last year, one of my several female friends (this one lives in Burton) asked me for advice for computer - I said hard-disk and memory. Told her what to buy, and sent her step-by-step instructions how to install them. Did she...well I'm going to hers tomorrow, put it that way.:D

Go to bed earlier, if you had enough sleep then the urge to go back to bed is much less.
Already got some herbal sleeping pills ready for tonight. I'm not the best of people for going to bed early - going to try 11pm, watch a film in bed...I should hopefully nod off.

Don't take the sleeping pills. I'm useless at getting up but if I know I have to get up for something important at an earlier than usual time then I usually wake up about 5 minutes before my alarm anyway

Sleeping pills of the herbal variety have always made me feel well groggy in the morning dont do it...

drop me a email (in trust) and i will give you a ring AT 6.05 no problem as i will have been up for nearly 1hour by then :D

I've found that as well... If I have to be up for something I always wake up before my alarm by a couple minutes.

a friend of mone at uni used to lock his (very loud) alarm clock in a cupboard and leave the key on the other side of the room. by the time he turned the alarm off he was awake, or so he said, it mat well have been made up  if you really NEED to get up when the alarm goes off it's about will power, when you hear that alarm , swing your legs out of bed and turn it off

HT
