Does such a spec exist?

I'm tentatively looking for a new laptop, would like it to meet these criteria:

14-15.6"
1080P
Medium i5/4gig Power
No Optical drive (want it light/thin)
No D-Sub connector (again thin/light)
Will probably DIY in an SSD drive so HDD spec isn't a big issue

I think what I'm waiting for is the next gen of slightly larger Ultrabooks, I just want this new laptop to feel like a real upgrade from my current Vaio. And if it's still got a big useless ODD drive in there (I've used this one twice in 2 years) it won't feel special. So light for travel, but with a little bit of power on tap still, light gaming now and again hopefully. RTS/FPS stuff.

I didn't say budet, my current Vaio cost £750 so something around there would be good, want to leave the price open for now though and just see if laptops like my wishlist are out there!

Didn't know there was a baby 14" Dell XPS, almost fits the bill!

Appreciate that Fallen,

Current 15.6" Vaio E series is 2.7Kg with a battery that doesn't last more than an hour now and a hot and thirsty Gen1 I5 in there.

The new 15" E series only has rubbish res available though, they have a 1600X900 in 14" which might be my lower limit and slightly minimally specced is £650 The nicer S is closer to a grand!

If you get the S15, with a i5 remove the useless software they try to bundle with it, it was £803

The cheapest I can see it online is £830 (at Sony website) I know what you mean about removing the software, what a sneaky tactic!
*** edit, I added a silver cover, hence the price difference, just realised***

But at £830 it's onboard gfx only :( +£140 for the 2gig card

I'm happy to RAM/SSD upgrade myself, a lot cheaper as you say!

Obviously we can't post links, but does the Asus UX32VD have a retail presence in the UK I'm only getting dodgy ebay imports when I search?
Not on the rainforest or other etailers?

Think I'm going for the S15

decided can't live without a numpad, it's also a very light and thin thing for it's size, current 15.5" Vaio is 2.7KG S15 is 2KG !

Also cheap in Korea (ish) 22% ish :)
