Am I mistaken, or did I see a thread on here once where someone was impressed that their battery was replaced well in to their 3 year HE warranty?
I have a MacBook battery that, despite being ~2.5 years old, still holds a good charge, but its reporting of its charge level to the computer is very optimistic, resulting in the computer cutting out (not sleeping) with no warning when the battery is still reporting ~10% capacity. Presumably the reality is that it's completely drained at this point.
I've tried "recalibration" and all the traditional Mac voodoo, with no effect. Does anyone know if I should be on for a replacement this late in the game - before I call?
