in a review i've found it does, but can't find any mention of it

-noticed ocuk say the 8800gt needs vrm sinks, so do the ones that 'maybe' come with the S1 dissipate enough heat?

edit, found a better review

http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1261100

says to add some extra heatsinks on the voltage regulators (ahh, voltage regulator modules..) :)

Cannot be 100% sure as I received version 1 when I bought (not from here- out of stock at time) and that does not come with vrm cooling that will fit the 8800gt, but I believe the rev 2 model does come with the required cooling sinks.

I did read conflicting reports as to wether such were actually required but as I had some old ,unused, ram coolers I adapted those .

I found the hardforum thread very usefull.

Enjoy:D ( the temp reduction is amazing!)

8800gt, but I believe the rev 2 model does come with the required cooling sinks.

The long heatsink is for the ATI 1900xt, and the flat piece is for 1950 pro. For 8800gt you just apply the ramsinks.

I have rev.2 and no it doesn't come with vrm heatsinks for 8800GT, their official site claimed it doesn't need it.

I have a 120mm fan pointing directly at it anyway so doubt it will overheat at all.
