Does the Acer Aspire 8930G come with 64bit Vista?

Hi, no it doesn't, you do qualify for an upgrade to x64 however that requires a fresh install. OC seem to have the spec wrong as well as a P8600 runs at 2.4 not 2.26, and I'm sure it should be ddr3 as the ram. Mine did and it was the lesser 002, the LX.ASZ0X.002...

I went for the (LX.AT10X.003) in the end.
So how do i go about upgrading to x64? i was going to fresh install to get rid of the unnecessary software?

Thanks for your help.

Hi, press windows key ant the pause button and follow the instructions from the advisor to upgrade. You will need updated drivers though but you can source them from either Acer or the device's manufacturer. I advise you to make a list of all the hardware and seek out the drivers before you take the decision to upgrade...

Don't think i can upgrade, turns out you need a boxed version and not a pre-installed version :(. When runnig the advisor it says that Nvidia 9600M GT is not compatible with Windows Vista hmmm. Also, i keep getting warning notifications pop up saying Nvidia Video Error or something along those lines. Have any idea of what the problem might be? Might need to upgrade the drivers or something?
