As title. I'm looking at getting one of these and was wondering if they come with those rubber grommets to mount the harddrive to keep the noise levels down.

No it does not. My raptor was very noisy until I bought a silentmax enclosure.

Don't let it put you off, its a very good case.

Works really well with the zalman you have.

I ordered the eclipse and got the mirage!

Thats actually a good thing if you do not mind the front, as it is a much more exclusive case, mainly because its the same as the Eclipse but costs more. :p

only thing I don't like is that all that air thoughput causes dust to gather on the CD plate bit, behind the door at the bottom, if I have the door closed.

the door has magnets in it aswell, so it keeps closed. I like the look, the button works with door open and closed wich is nice. only issue is if the CD Rom drive tries to open when the door is shut it may not be able to push it open.

Just pick up some rubber grommets from the net, thats what i did. Drive is now silent :)

How do you fit these grommets inside the drive cage. When you slide the hard drive into the 3.5" bay it is flush against the insides of the cage so I can't see how you would squeeze some grommets in there, unless you are just putting grommets on the outside between the screws and the drive cage (but the drive is still making contact with the cage on the inside). Only other thing I can think of is using some very large grommetss on the large holes on the outside of the cage.

If you buy a bicycle inner tube (or use one that one you had the snake-bite puncture on when you landed the triple at Alp Duez) and cut 8 1cm squares out of it. Make a small hole in the middle of each. Now cellotape one of them over each of the 4 holes on the HDD. Force the HDD into the cage (it will be quite a tight fit). Now place another 1cm rubber square over the HDD screw (use the long ones) and screw it in. It will easily penetrate the cellotape and after a few moments exertion you will have an isolated HDD for a few pennies. Someone else suggested the inner tube, I doubled up on the number of 1cm pieces used, to be sure, to be sure ;)

I'm putting them in the holes that are above. They fit perfect.
