Does the Apple iPhone Dock work with the iPod Touch

The alternative is get the universal dock.

I was asking about the dock that came with the iphone v1 but it don't matter i will get the universal dock.

The v1 dock is not a good fit with the touch.

I am currently using a universal dock without any plates in it hooked up to the charger. I wish they would make a dock that you can plug into the wall AND a computer because sometimes I want to charge my phone but not turn on my computer. The only way around it is to buy 2 docks.

EDIT: I know the +5VSB power to the USB ports isn't enough to charge a USB device but would a powered USB hub charge an iPhone?

Unplug the USB, put it into the power adapter.........

The USB port is at the back of my computer and the dock is on my desk, the idea of the setup is so I can get home and just stick the phone in the dock and forget about it, I don't want to be crawling about under my desk swapping around USB cables.

Get another lead, unplug it from the dock and put in the one from the adapter.

I'm sure that atleast 1 or 2 of the non apple docks can do this, iirc belkin was one of them and I vaguely recall an audio brand doing one too.
