Nah that's fair enough mate, I just had 2 rival companies and was looking for the better deal, so when I saw 3 years via ocuk on the pulse 7900xt (at the time 2 weeks before aug) vs scan stating 2 years, I thought well I'll ring both, if 1 has a bonus years warranty then happy days.@Removed User 345456 - from things Gibbo has said on the forums, it's as I stated:
- Sapphire: 2yr MBA, 3 yr AIB
- Powercolor: 1yr MBA, 3yr AIB
I'm not doubting what you're saying wrt other retailers, but they could have separate agreements....If CS are telling you it's a typo then that should be fixed asap!
@Gibbo - we could use a little clarification here!
I also have the worst luck known to man, so warranty is very important to me, so if I think I can get a longer one I'll definitely go for that even if it costs a tiny bit more, understandably.
Turns out they both had 2 years so scans listing was right, at the time of enquiring.
If a high end top tier more expensive model from Sapphire has 3 years then fair enough, but I was made aware that the pulse range certainly didn't, I as literally said "well I don't really want to spend £800ish on something with a 2 year warranty when a little bit more money gets me an asus WITH a 3 year... - I know they're cheaper now but they had gone back up when I looked back before august... Sod's law eh.
I will repeat my point though that the sales team merely looked it up and quoted what was on the website, where as the rma team were way more involved and had a proper deep dive and confirmed I was correct and that it was a typo.
So it's always worth asking!

vs refunding/replacing yours and sending it back to them and dealing with that side of it themselves as at that point it isn't my problem?
so that's 2 cards both wrong according to the guy I spoke to in the RMA dept!
