Does the vostro allow vista ultimate 64?

I cant find any drivers for vista 64 bit (only the 32 bit). Have home basic installed and want to upgrade to x64. Can this be done and how would you go about doing it?

Is formatting the hard drive and removing all unwanted stuff a good idea?

Unless you have more than 3GB RAM there isn't any real reason to have the 64bit version installed.

You should be able to find drivers for it as it seems all thats in it is standard stuff, maybe not directly from Dell but it should easy enough to find on the net.

If all you want to do is remove some unwanted stuff formating is a bit drastic.
