Does the Wireless 360 pad in Windows still have problems?

A few years back, support for the wireless controller was intermittent and game dependent, as in rumble not working or the controller not working at all.

Does it still have such issues or does it work OK and mirror the wired pad now?

How much more bulky is the wireless controller compared to the wired one?

Also, I have a first gen wired, do these second gen pads have a more compact layout?

Annoys me that third party manufacturers have failed to grasp the concept of xinput controllers. There is very little choice for "Good" gamepads.

Sony should officially support Windows for their controllers.
