bear in mind i want to keep prices down, if the second one is supported is it worth going with that over the first one?

cheers, which cpu do you think is best to go for out of that lot with a price limit of around £45?

ok thanks a bunch for that, i think i will get the athlon 2 if budget allows

EDIT: on the subject of mitx would be best to go for this or go for some core 2 duo mitx on fleabay on the cheap?

which one is the better performer?

That will depend on the cpu used, the best bet is have a look around and use the Andantech link to compare a the various cpu's, least this will give a rough idea on performance.
