Hi all,

For a mate with an £800 budget for just the tower no screen or mouse etc..

He really only want to play DayZ and some older games, but he did mention CoD as well - Online that is.

I have no idea about AMD cards but Youtube tells me that card trades blows with 2080 sometimes.

He will be plugging into a 4K TV but not expecting to run newer stuff at 4K and also probably does not even know or care what 60fps is although I am sure Dayz may even run 4K 60fps on this?

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £798.23 (includes delivery: £12.30)

Any thoughts on ideas to improve or just lower cost? He did mention he liked the idea of being able to upgrade down the line so didn't want to go too budget on him. At least with this he can upgrade CPU/GPU down the line and add a better Cooler etc.

Thanks,
Sean

Your on the right track but obviously chosen some budget components to fit £800.

12400f is fine but H610 motherboards are low end, the 6600 is a solid choice but £40 to expensive if your trying to save money.

Case £30 says it all with one fan will have little airflow but it's a case at least.

Yeah he is not going to me interested in Overclocking and has no real interest in PCs so the low end mobo is no big deal. Same goes for the case, not interested in how it looks just looking for an obvious choice to save money there. I doubt this rig would put out much heat anyway so 1 fan will be ok for now, although If I can get the GPU £40 cheaper that's a a couple of extra fans right!

Cheers mate.

Yes add fans if needed or just buy a slighty better case with fans already installed, micro atx case if you keep the same motherboard.
