Not built an intel system for a long time.

So chucked together this with an eye to push it with some Overclocking. 8800GT would be slapped ontop of what you see there.

Build

2x 120mm Fans, 1 for the Ultra-120 and 1 for the case side panel over the S1.

Any comments More than welcome or if you think some parts could be swapped for better alternatives either quality/price or both.

Cheers.

Would you not be better off going for a quad core such as the Q6600 rather than dual core. Also going for an Intel board such as a P35 chipset (these used by a lot of people on here and clock well) or theres the X38 chipset which I know less about.

Wasnt so sure about the x38 and p35, x38 doesnt look proven yet?

Perhaps an ABIT IP-35 Pro would be the wiser choice?

Build 2, Looks a bit more healthy?

Looks good but I would make two changes. First I'd get a better PSU in the form of the Corsair HX 520. In order to pay for such extravagance, I'd knock the RAM down to yon Geil. Both will overclock and perform the same and, unless you run a divider which is unnecessary, you won't hit the stock rated speed of either until at least 3.6 GHz.

That CPU cooler, graphics cooler, and mobo all look good. If you have a decent set of surround-sound speakers a nice sound card would help. Look at the X-Fi XtremeMusic if you're interested.
