Does this card need extra power?

Does it need an extra power connector or is the PCI-E port enough.

And does it go faster than an ati X1300.

Or can you offer me a faster low profile, power connector free video card?

Doesn't need extra power but is a 'very' slow card best suited for HTPC's.

What's your budget?

It's for a friend, budget is not really a factor, it's lack of space and lack of power.

He wants to play MW2, funnily enough he says the x1300 is ok except all text comes up as garbled rubbish (x1300 not supported by MW2)

Trying to fit the most powerful card possible in the smallest space possible with no extra power. I don't think a 480's going to fit!

There's also 5750 low profile:

But will have to wait/hunt around for one, and it does require one 6-pin PCI-E connector.

There's a MSI 5670 low profile that doesn't require external power, but it's quite hard to find and tends to be expensive. So may be 5570 might be the best bet afterall?

Is there any reason why he cant use a card that requires a six pin PCI-E connector? Its just that XFX have released a low profile HD5770. While it requires the extra connector it doesn't have massive power requirements.

Edit. Actually I'm probably wrong just a single slot and not low profile.

No power connectors left (could split one I suppose), psu max out put 106W, not a lot to play with.
