Hey guys, havn't built a computer in a long time and after finishing school... getting a job i've managed to save up some money to throw away =d

Ideally i was just looking around the £900 range and not much higher - although if there is something which will be a massive addition for a little more i'm open ears.

- Case: BitFenix Shinobi "Core" USB3.0 Gaming Windowed Case - Black
- Power Supply: Corsair GS 600w PSU
- CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K 3.40GHz @ 4.40GHz Ivybridge CPU
- Motherboard: Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
- Cooler: Corsair H60 Water Cooler CPU Cooler
- RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
- Primary Hard Drive: 1TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache Hard Drive
- Graphics Card: KFA2 GeForce GTX 670 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
- Optical Drive: OcUK 24x DVD+/-RW SATA Drive

£897.12

So there we have it, that's a build i did myself - would any experts be able to give some opinions or alternatives? I would like to keep with a GeForce card.

Appreciate the time to read this and thanks in advance :)

The Bitfenix "core" shinobi is lacking the mesh/logo and fans giving you the opportunity to add and cutomise these bits yourself.

If you just want a case with all the bits fitted for you, then select the normal shinobi without "core" in it's description.

That case isnt great, it has pretty bad airflow as I remember and it comes with no fans as standart... Zalman Z9 case is best value for money.

Corsair PSU is good, but maybe think of getting XFX or Seasonic? it would be better, especially if it comes cheaper.

H60 is OK I guess, alternative to that would be antec kuhler 620.

I know u said to leave gpu alone but 7950 would offer same performance for cheaper price and extra gigabayte of vram.

Thanks for the list pal, taking everything into consideration here as i don't want to jump into something and find there was a better alternative a few weeks later.

To be fair i'm willing to look at ATi cards if there is a real case for them as there does seem to be. From what i understand looking at different benchmarks is that the 670 handles BF3 better which is a massive tick for me.

Honestly, my head is all over the place at the moment with this so and constructive help would be very appreciative.

Please could you remove the link from your post, as you mentioned is clearly not Ocuk and is against the rules.

Those benchmarks won't take into account driver optimization since then.
The 2 gpus would be almost identical I would imagine, and with 7950 you get like £100+ worth of games + the far cry 3 thingy.....all while paying less for the 7950.

Looks like a nice build although I just built a similar computer and do not recommend spending money on a video card more expensive then 7870xt

Why? Not everyone wants to be stuck with a mid-range GPU... A GTX 670 is much better than a 7870 (hence the higher price tag), although it's still a bit pricey compared to the similar performing Radeon 7950 imo.
