hi wonder if you can shed some light on a device that may excist.

I dont know if they do, but if they do it would be great.

I play the Piano and I have a Yamaha Clarinova, Basically a Electronic Piano with a lot more to offer.

Now it has a floppy drive on it which I use for to load midi files, to be able to play them on the piano and edit/record etc.
Later models of the clarinova now have USB as well as floppy.

Mine only has floppy, so i was wondering is there such a device as a floppy disk I can insert into my piano which gives me a USB output. SO in theory I could put the floppy in and insert my USB Data pendrive into the USB output from the floppy and have more capacity.?

Hope this makes sense. Basically a floppy disk with a USB socket on the other end.

Thanks

Don't think so, but closest you may get is something like this

"The Olympus FlashPath Adapter is a SmartMedia-to-3.5" floppy disk adapter. This product enables you to read picture data stored on SmartMedia (the memory card used in Olympus digital cameras) on a desktop computer equipped with a standard 1.44 MB 3.5" floppy disk drive. The FlashPath adapter is one of the easiest ways to transport and download images and it doesn't require using the camera or cables."

IIRC you need special software for it as well.

shame i couldnt just remove my floppy disk drive from the piano and replace it with a USB drive of some sort but connectors and what not would never be the same would they ?

Oh well, thank you for your reply.
