What I'm looking for is a front panel that functions as an IR recevier by connecting to an internal usb. Does such a thing exist?

not sure personally but I' take a look at the imon products under case accessories might find what your looking for in there.

Soundgraph and Thermaltake are two companies that make such a thing, though the TT one actually seems to be a Soundgraph imon under the skin too.

Are you talking about a port for a remote or some other device?

I have an iMon, which also comes with a simple display and a volume knob. I'd give it a 7/10 as its good but doesnt quite live up to the standards I'd hoped for.
