A screen 24-28 inches that will allow me a crisp gaming experience from my GTX 970 but also allow me to plug my PS4 and Sky HD into (not necessarily at the same time) ?

I'm struggling to find such a device but I don't want to have to succumb to having a TV and a Monitor on one desk.

Thanks all. I'm thinking now do I need a soundbar or similar for PS4/Sky HD sound ? I hadnt considered lack of onboard sound. I guess I could go for in built sound but now I'm fretting about lack of a remote which I need.

I fear I may have to go down the TV route at the expense of getting a good PC experience.

Depends where you want to spend your money, but I have an older version of the Onkyo HTX-22HDX. I have my PC connected to my main screen with DP, and the audio routed into the Onkyo. I also have an XBOX 360 and PS3 hooked up to the Onkyo via HDMI (at the same time) and then a single HDMI cable from the Onkyo to that input on my monitor.

I can then flick the monitor to HDMI and choose the appropriate input on the Onkyo, and presto :)

Ofcourse if you have a decent sound setup already, you may not want to take this route.

I have money to spend but this is only a bedroom setup so I dont really want to go the whole AV route if I can avoid it.

At present I've got cramped on a small desk space a Sky HD box into a cheapy old 22 inch Samsung LCD sat alongside a 27 inch Imac.

The Imac is going and ideally I just want one great screen to do the lot. At the moment I dont think I can do that with a monitor without compromising TV like features like a remote control. I guess what I really want is a 24-28inch TV thats also a brilliant PC display but I'm not sure there is such a thing.

That's why I suggested the Onkyo - I didn't want a full 5.1 setup either.

The receiver unit acts as the sub, so sits on the floor out of the way. The speakers are bookshelf style, and I have mine laying on their sides under my screen, and that's it.

Ah I see now I've bothered to google the Onkyo. I saw Onkyo and pictured a big 7.1 receiver :-)

I guess that would fit the bill, I just need a long stick now to be able to turn the monitor off from my bed :D
