Can anyone download VLC in windows Vista with this link http://sourceforge.net/projects/vlc/files/1.1.5/win32/vlc-1.1.5-win32.exe/download

Trying to get my girlfriend to do it and she keeps saying it take her to this website instead http://www.centrify.com/express/download-centrify-express.asp?gclid=CIenq6jHlKYCFQ1O4Qod00_DZw

Some Centrify Express nonsense whatever the hell that is.

I run Linux and i can download the VLC file just fine.

I just uploaded the file to my webspace and that worked for her.

Does that Centrify site look like some scam I be concerned about? Can' imagine how long it would take to tell her over facebook how to get rid and secure her computer

Not googled Centrify at all but wouldn't common sense dictate that any unexpected redirect, especially one pointing you to another program's download location, be cause for concern. /rhetoric

Of course one cannot rule out female stupidity. She's bringing her laptop over tomorrow so i'll be able to take a look.
