Does this look dodgy to anyone else?

Hi,

Found this VTR but the "trade" seller hasn't put his location in the ad and only gives a mobile number. Plus the cars a 2000 model and only has 45k on the clock. Theres also no mention of any MOT left on the car.

Ive found a VTR with 65k on the clock for £2395 with 12 months MOT, would this be a better bet than the above?

"tax & test" to me would suggest its got valid MOT and Tax

You can only have a location 'displayed' as a trade seller if you buy your website from Auto Trader, otherwise it doesn't show it, you can just enter a 20 character name. RA MOTORS UK in that case.

Auto Trader will manually remove things like addresses, websites etc. from advert text too, if you haven't bought your site with them.

god I remember paying nearly 5k for one of them in the same condition - same mileage and age in 2003/4 or so.

crap cars though, mine fell to bits. Fast though

edit: when i say fast - its a medium hatch.

edit edit - they are quite slow really i suppose.

, any other car you would recommend for a first car then?. Was also looking at Fiesta 1.6 zetec S in black but i do like the look of the Saxo more.

Thanks guys, i think I'll give them a ring then and see if its still available. I just remember seeing a program on TV that said never to buy a car if theres just a mobile number and no address.

Is that the same company then?, i did do a google of the company name but it pulled up a few.
