Hmmm

Now I'm a plank, so probably being stupid here, but is it me, or is there something suspicious about this car?

It's just got to the UK and he won't display the Number Plate so can't do a check on it.

The guy has 0 feedback and only created the account in august.

Am I the only one that gets that feeling?

BTW: Before the comments start, I'm not buying it, I'm bored and looking :p

Grammer is off ie;

"For over sea's buyers i can lift you at the airport "

Also to me, in the photos it looks like it has plates (at the front but not back  ) already, so how would you be the first reg when it already has plates?

Exactly what i was thinking....perhaps photos are for illustration purposes only! It dosent sound right somehow. Stay clear and look elsewhere.

I don't see how it's dodgy. Payment by bankers draft or cash in person, it's not like he's going to steal the money and disappear as you'll be handing the payment over in person.

It isn't a prerequisite for Impreza owners to be able to exercise a perfect command of the English language either :p

Says it's got an MOT which would require plates etc, I guess a dealer can own it before hand?

Either way it looks dodgy as hell :)

Some shots show it having both (UK, Square style) but others show it having none.

EDIT: Photos with plates are at a different location to those wthout.

Agreed actually, if the seller isn't pushing for something upfront seems a little less dodgy.

Altho they could just murder you and take everything you have when you go to pick it up :(

Please tell me those are modifications and not part of the standard Subaru car :o

Limited edition standard run by the looks of things.

Looks ok to me, maybe the orig plate was private and it was cleaned and those were taken off for new pics, plated pics = older pics?

No harm in arranging a viewing?

If I was buying, I would be tempted to go and look at it, as from the pics, it does look mint condition. Just seemed dodgy to me.

hmm this is nice  hes got lots of pics of it, the REG in clear view. this alone would push me more in the direction of buying it compared to the first.

completely standard

but bear in mind this is the RA version (race altered)

it was designed with the necessary modifications in mind to take it group N rallying. So the roof scoop, water spray intercooler etc.. would come in usefull on a competitive rally.

same goes with the adjustable differential

as for dodgy

dont think it is

a lot of jap motors get shipped to ireland. only thing that confuses me is how the car has a plate but is not yet registered. Can you get a UK registration plate for a jap motor that hasnt got a buyer yet ?

either that or he's fibbing about the 1st registered owner and he's registered it to himself to get the plates/mot/tax
