may i ask why you're wanting to drop engine size? just out of interest, as a 2l mondeo will be very little to run anyway, a 1.6 in a similar size car will use just as much petrol as it'll be at full belt all the time to even move!
 
No, hes said he already sold it, yet his feedback is 1 and thats as a buyer.

Lots of potential problems there, stick with the mondy.
 
Im getting rid of the Mondeo, it's a P reg 2.0l Ghia, engine is fine (never had any problems) but bodywork needs attention (new bumpers front and back, AC is broken (only blows hot air !!). I want a modern looking car, the Mondy looks a bit tired imo.
A friend has an 52 Laguna 2l which i have driven and really liked, although would prefer a 1.8.
I found another on AT, quite a bit more though.....

seriously consider the newer mondeo's have a look at them you could pick up a nice one for your budget.
