Hello i rebuilt my pc today and put some new tim on i brought up hwmonitor its showing this::

im worried about my tmpin0 its idling at 66c??

is 66c fine? i just ran a prime test for a few minutes and it didnt change

Probably a false reading as all the other temps are well below that.

unless I'm misreading it the tmpin0 @ 66oc looks like the graphics card temp so you don't need to worry.

From the diagram it looks as if it's refering to the GTX470?

I think you're fine, use realtemp for your cpu and MSI Afterburner for your graphics card temps, far easier to understand

If we assume it's the GTX470, was the 66ºC at idle or at load?

That's quite warm at idle even for the hot GTX470. Try downloading and installing MSI afterburner and setting up a custom fan profile or add a couple of extra case fans? Are you using a single screen or more?
