Timings are really slack, try tightening to 4-4-4-12 and bump the volts upto 2V if its not stable.

How do I change the timings? On a Gigabyte DS4 mobo.

It's at 2.22V at the moment. I've done a few tests, and it seems stable. Was going to do a Prime BLend overnight to make sure, but I'm concerned with the timings.

You'll need to get yourself in the BIOS

2.2V is fine, stick with that while you play with the timings.

Sorry for being a nub (first OCing experience

) but could you tell me what it would be under. I was searching for some option to change the timings in the BIOS but I can't seem to find one. What would the setting be named?

Probably under the advanced chipset page if I rember Gigabyte BIOSs.

well, I'm looking at the manual which has all the settings listed. But there's nothing I can find which describes changing the timings

I guess I need someone who owns a DS4 to tell me where it is. Please!!!

I just went into the BIOS. Under PC Health at DDR18V it says Failed.

How do I resolve?? :confused:

I think thats just because you've set your Vdimm higher than 1.8V, nothing to worry about.

The options on the MB intelligent Tweaker (assuming that's the same as Advance chipsey) in the Bios are:

CPU clock ratio
CPU host clock control
CPU host frequency
PCI Express Frequency
C.I.A.2 - Intelligent Overclock (auto increases clockspeeds)
System memory multiplier - set to 2.00 (this the option you mean?)
Memory Frequency
DIMM overvoltage control
PCI-E overvoltage control
(G)MCH Overvoltage control
FSB Overvoltage control
CPU Voltage control
Normal CPU vcore

Well I found the option. Had to search for it in xtremesystem's forum. Had to press Ctrl+F1 at the main screen to activate the advance options.

I set it to 4-4-4-12. But it kept rebooting after posting. I changed it to 5-5-5-15 and it managed to boot OK. Just stressing it at the mo.

What do I have to do to get the timings changed for better? Do I have to increase the volts further?

Edit: Well I increased the VDIMM to 2.3V, Windows would start then the computer rebooted. :S
