this crash happens randomly, sometimes after 15 mins in games, sometimes after an hour. screen freezes, goes blank and monitor display 'analogue / digital' message for about 5 seconds like when machine is first switched on. then machine goes back to windows desktop. to gain acceess back to windows desktop hough i have to ctrl alt delete and close it that way.

have latest nvidia drivers for the card, using windows 7 home premium

downloaded gpu-z and monitored temps during crash. temp was 68 when card crashed. doesnt sound too hot for this card

This happens to me when playing counter strike source, but not others like mw2 or bf2, very annoying, what games where you playing? i have tried reinstalling steam but still no joy :(

ran furmark stability test for 30 mins, max temp was 76, no errors. also ran windows with clean boot, no services running and no start up items, but crash still happened.

Do you have another PSU you could try it with?

This happens to me. I get a driver has stopped responding message and boots me to the desktop. The card then sticks to low power 3D clock speeds.

I solved it by lowering core and memory speeds

I e mailed Eidos and they said try Just Cause 2 in single GPU mode, which consequently didn't yield any crashes whatsoever. In addition to this, neither AC2 or Crysis crashed once in dual GPU mode. Would appear as though Just Cause 2 doesn't like dual GPU card. Hmph.
