Does this spec look OK as the core to a computer?

I'm thinking of buying these 3 parts for my new overclocking build, do you think they are the good foundations to one. Anyone recommend an air cpu cooler for this.

Looks pretty good to me. If using for games don't let your tasty CPU sit around and get a good graphics card. If you can't afford a good graphics card on top of this setup get a 6400 instead of the 6600 for a better balanced system.

Try the tuniq tower 120 or the Scythe Infinity Heatpipe or even the Zalman CNPS9700-LED for a nicer look - if you have a clear side panel.
