Any particular reason for AMD? Intel is a bit cheaper and offers great overclocking potential as well although I've yet to check out Phenoms performance properly I must admit. I note you don't have a graphics card so I've included a very basic one.

Should be good for gaming. You'll also find that the onboard sound will be as good if not better than the Creative.

I agree with hp7909, however if you can stretch to the 8800GT option that is definately the best route to go, currently!

i probably can stretch to that but primarily i play world of warcraft i know i know silly game for a 33 year old so i would prefer to upgrade the processor 1st

any recomends?

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.66GHz (1333FSB) - Retail

what if i went for that processor would the rest of you suggested system fit with it?

aslo can you recomend a 8800gt

i probably wont ever overclock this system but dont want to have to spend anymore on it for a at least a year, i am not a hardcore gamer who needs all the latest cards but would like it run nice as i can get it
