Hi All,

I was wondering is there a printer that is an "All-in-one" (i.e. printer scanner copier) that also prints directly to CD/DVD? I want a new printer that can print direct on to printable DVDs/CDs but would like one that is also a scanner & copier.

If such a printer exists can anyone recommend one? If such a printer doesn't exist can someone recommend a fairly cheap printer that print direct on to DVDs/CDs please?

Many thanks in advance.

This printer sounds similar to one i used to have an R300 i think it was called, no scanner but does print on the CD's. I've no idea if things are still the same but all in one printers tended to be unreliable.

Hi,

Thanks for your replies, I'll be having a look at these and comparing reviews. I'll let you know which i eventually pick (if i go for the pricier one I might have to save up for an extra month though).

Can i ask why you want it to be combined with the scanner? If it's for making the covers for the disc's *for friends* there are so much better and higher quality ways.

The only reason i want a combined one is purely to save space. I want to be able to print direct to disc because between me and my mates we take a lot of photos and videos I put CD/DVD compilations together and would like to start designing covers for them.

The reason I want a scanner is because I simply want one. There have been a few occasions lately where having the ability to scan in documents/photos would have come in handy.

Many thanks for the advice on the Canon.

I've had Epson's in the past and they were all crap (that's not to say they haven't improved now). I have a Canon now and it's excellent.

Sorry for the double post but...

Just noticed *** Canon MP500 at around £122 (incVAT). Other than the lack of fax (not important) and the extra paper tray I can't see a massive difference. It prints to DVDs and CDs and is a scanner/copier.

Anyone got any advice/experience with this model?
