If you think this is rubbish please say so, I just want some honest C&C, as I went back to Bempton at the weekend but the weather was bleak, so I spent time experimenting and messing around... The shot I wanted I can see in my head working, this is the closest I got to it, i'm just not sure whether it works or not, as is always the case when you're "messing around"..

Please say if you think its rubbish or good, be as harsh as you like, say what you like, :)

I agree with the head not being remotley sharp, but i'm glad most of you think that it "could" work, ie, in terms of potential and in terms of what i'm trying to achieve... I've visualised what I want but it might take many attempts to get right.. must keep trying :D

Doesn't work imo. If the head was sharper it might work, but at the moment its too blurry im afraid. Good effort though. Im off to Bempton this coming weekend. Hows it looking out there? You heading out again?

I'll be going out again on the Saturday if the weather looks nice. Its really good at the moment, there are many puffins flying around and many of the Gannets are on the nest with Chicks, the razorbills are also great although a nightmare to expose in the sunlight.
Its best when its windy as the gannets spend most of their time flying around at eye level and come past 10ft away, they're great to watch.

I suspect you've probably already seen but check out the first shot in this thread - http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=67056

They look good, trouble is the light kills the shot as its too dull imo, at 1/125 the wingtips are nice and blurred, but I want the almost ghostly effect you get from 1/15th or 1/20th where everything is so blurred it becomes surreal, apart from the head of course :p which i've somehow got to keep sharp.. I love setting personal challenges..

I'll be going down with Sarah on Saturday morning on the train, and will be heading back on Sunday evening. Watch out for me with my Lowepro Pro trekker rucksack and 300mm lens covered in cammo raincover, and Sarah with a green TP neckstrap. If you see either of us, please feel free to say hello. :) Im planning on heading to the cliffs as soon as we get there, and staying until the light goes poor. Then on Sunday morning im hoping to get up for sunrise and head out to Flamborough lighthouse, and then come back to the cliffs later on.

Will do if I go!
