Does Vista's Folder Display Setting Pee Anyone Else Off?

It may just be something that I'm doing or something that I'm not doing but in my My Pictures folder I have it set to 4 pictures wide at a custom thumbnail size and they are sorted by Date Modified, now when I go into my My Pictures folders sometimes they have reverted back to the default setting.

And everytime I go into Control Panel its displays it a different way, sometimes details, sometimes list, sometimes large thumbnails. Anyone else have this problem?

Sometimes, but I am not that bothered as it's easily fixed.

i don't like the fact that it changes the columns along the top of explorer.

all i want is Name, Date Modified, Type, Size. in every folder

Just been reading up on it, parently that can be done but first you need to reset all of your current folder settings and start from scratch, then you can customize it how you want.

it's by biggest grip with vista. and these days one of the only ones. There will be no fix from microsoft as they don't believe it to be a problem but i just cannot get my folder views to stay how i want them. It seems to be worse after SP1, certainly no better.

what he said. I wouldn't mind it so much if Type was on the right click to add on the columns list, but it's not, so you've got to hit more and go down to the bottom every time.

I've installed Opus directory, so no it doesn't annoy me anymore.
