does warranty transfer ?

ok i bought mymates 7month old xbox360 of him. i know of the dreaded 3 rings of death senario so was wondering how does warranty work has it now transfered to me ? do i have to register online as new owner ?

i've got a feeling if you ring up and have everything of his details like name address phone number serial no they will let you, try it, and let us know how you get on.

yep, just ring up and they will ask you to confirm the registered details then after that you can change the ownership.

he might not of even registered it, so first thing i would try is going to xbox.com signing in and trying to register it to your account, if that doesnt work, what they said^.
