Hi,

Looks like I have ordered the wrong version of Windows 7 for my iMac (planning to run via Boot Camp). I thought my 3.0ghz Dual Core was 64 bit but it appears that it isn't a Core 2 Duo.

I have just received an OEM copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Do I now need to return this or does anyone know if it also happens to contain the 32 bit version?

Thanks

Mark

Short answer: no. Microsoft supply separate media for 32bit and 64bit. You can however, make one disk with both versions (32/64) on if you wish.

When you buy a retail copy you're given a 32bit installation disk and a 64bit installation disks. With OEM you're supplied whatever you purchased (32bit/64bit) However, the serial keys supplied are universal, they are not 32bit/64bit specific so you could keep what you bought but just source a 32bit W7 disk :).
