A latency free GM Synth that is? I have adventus piano suite music training software but it requires a zero/low latency midi instrument of somesort to work.
My current soundcard is a audiophile 2496. As that has no GM Hardware I used the windows gm synth that comes with win xp but it has a long latency, so I was wondering does x-fi extreme have a low latency GM Synth? Also is the instrument available in vista?
One last question would it possible to run a x-fi and a audiophile 2496 side by side on the same computer? Because under xp the 2496 drivers alter the windows sound control panel and remove some aspects of the window mixer which may cause issues with the creative card??
