I have just looked at specification, I realised I have to use ethernet cable for internet?

Both Wii and PS3 support wireless connection.

Not out of the box, you have to buy the official Wireless Adapter, which is a lot for £50-£60, or have a wireless bridge (£30-£50 I think).

You can use an official Microsoft xbox360 wifi adapter (45-60 quid if you look around) that can plug into the rear USB port.

Or use a generic ethernet bridge connected to the ethernet port.

Just saw the prices...£55...thats shocking...I don't know how people could complain about Wii especially that it has inbuilt wireless!

Wireless using USB...hmm, not a great idea but anyone used it?

Why's it not a great idea? Perfectly fine, and USB2 has a bandwidth of 480Mbps... (USB1.1 was the 'slower' one... which was only 12Mbps)

A lot of people use it here I believe.

The 360 wireless is fine for what it needs to do, not noticed any lag or issues really, streamed movies fine through it too, just glad I got it thrown in dirt cheap with my second hand 360, I'd not pay that much for it myself :p

Well, the experience I had with USB modem is that it was bit laggy as compared to wireless/ethernet but it was USB 1.1 I guess.

Thanks DaveyD, I'll probably look out for bundled deal or ebay.

I want a wii but am annoyed as i don't use wireless here, we just have 2 ethernet ports in every single room :) .

So if I get a wii, i'll need to buy a USB 2.0 LAN Ethernet Adaptor! Maybe I should just get a 360 as it's easier lol.
