Does xfire work in windowed mode or just fullscreen

IIRC, windowed mode is only supported with xfire on DX10 and above. I believe STO is a fully DX9 game so no, xfire wont be useable in windowed mode.

(might be wrong though :p)
 
i used to play cod waw in windowed mode for allowing access to server admin tool , xfire wouldnt work at all, it worked in full screen though :(
 
Interesting news, im gona have to test this out when im home as i play a lot of games in windowed mode so i can use my dual screen.
 
only ever found one gpu to be working in windows mode, looking at catalyst overdrive to check activitys of dual gpu-crossfire configurations.

to get more than one gpu working i usually have to have fullscreen mode on the applications, and before than enable catalyst a.i. (standard or advanced) and have anything set to "application settings" that can be set to that.
 
Yep ive been playing wow in windowed mode and put it to fullscreen and sure enough my fps doubles :) thanks for the heads up as I had no idea about this lol.

I play all my other games in fullscreen.
