In theory, it doesn't, I know. But I have a spare n680i LT sit around the corner of my room and I am so tempted to try it. Did anyone here ever make it work with a 45nm Core 2 Quad before? Does it need any mods or adjustments to work?

I dont think it will, however the 650i chipset shouldnt work with them either but someone on the forums did it, have a look in the P5N-E official thread

Or not.

Buy a P45 instead.

Do not go back to the path of evil that is NForce.

Thanks for the advice! But I really hate my P35 because it could only clock my Q9450 to 3.6G in max and cold booting all the time. Also read some reports about the compatibility issues between intel chipsets and OCZ SSD's.

Also, I used a 680i for my E6420 and it was a brilliant clocker cos it could lock all bus individually and enable me squeeze the last drop of juice from my 6420. I love nforce 'I'm afraid':p

Chimerical is talking about the new P45 chipset not the P35 :)
The P45 superseeds the P35, The Gigabyte and Asus boards seemsa to get mentioned a lot :)
