squeels like a piggy with its nutts in a vice.

If I concentrated, I used to be able to hear my old cyrix chip performing calculations back in the day, haven't really been able to hear a CPU since then but my Q6600, you can hear it chuntering away like no ones business, its a little annoying but mostly quite odd.

and no its not bleed from the drives or fans, ive had my head right in there to make sure...

I can hear my memory squeal a little sometimes when the frequency is put up, but it goes away after a little while. I assume it's the memory.

I think my GTX280 has started squealing, it never used to, but I have been overclocking it recently, and now when I play games, I can hear it squeal, I'm fairly positive it's the card, as it only happens in games..

yeah, my GTX280's squeal was very load when I first installed it, but it has died down over time. I can only imagine how much louder it would have been if it wasn't nestled in my big heavy P182.

Something in my case seems to squeak but i can't find out what.

I just tilt the case a bit and the squeaking goes away for a while.

I tried stopping each fan but still can't find out what does that noise.

Hate it once my ears have locked onto it - DVD players that are switched on but not playing at the worst culprit for me :( Something in my PC is squealing though, got a feeling it's the water pump.

No squealing in my PC. I get interference through the speakers when using the mouse scroll wheel but apparently only when using my audio input switcher. Without it, there is no interference.

My TV does a mosquito noise with the backlight on 8 or below, so I'd still rather burn my retinas than get P*ssed of with that noise :)

My pc begaun screaming...then it bit me and now I am in the corner of the room with just my wireless keyboard and a helpless child...he says he will do it again unless the forum clubs together and buys it a 5870...

Help me <AHEM> I mean him.

<HIGH PITCHED SCREAMS>

He just told me to tell you a 5890. Plus he has eaten the child...I dont have much time left. Please help...fatboy...I know you can hear this.

<jokes people not meaning to troll but all the talk of pc bits screaming lead to the above brain fart.>

It's either your Ram, Graphics, PSU or VRMs.. CPU's don't squeal.

Run something full-system intensive (3Dmark for example), and stick your head in your case to pinpoint it.
