Does your post count matter to you?

Best forum I've seen for 'status' is probably BikeChatForums which runs a karma system, so you can rate posts as being funny, interesting, informative etc if positive and also negatively for flaming, swearing, spam etc. The system itself also rates and rewards good grammar and penalises you for swearing.

Its not perfect, and maybe not even needed, but it does at least give an indication of post quality rather than just quantity.

Damn right it does... if i go under my current 1.49 posts per day i find it hard to get out of bed in the morning! :(

lulz... no i dont care about my post count :) Usually forget its there untill i glance over someone with a 64k post count or something silly!

Gave mine away for rememberance day charity auction, wasn't many even then but I genuinely couldn't care less. I generally think if someone is posting over 10-15times a day and isn't a mod of some kind they're probably just a bit spammy/sad.

my stats:
Total Posts: 461 (0.26 posts per day)

as has been said earlier, dont care about my post count at all, did to start with but only till I got MM access, but I have since got my self banned lol so it really doesnt matter now

I tend to read more than post but always try and contriubute when I can

Whats this post donation/auction thing all about?

Yes I also like this way of doing it - good forum too, though LukeVFR is a complete ****!

I'll not even start on Half_Lyfe....

I used to. It demonstrated to me how much I've contributed.

However, as a mod and admin I've done more than I could have as a normal poster, so not any more.
