Does your pump rattle or buzz?

I water cooled my computer for nearly two years with the same setup, but after a six month break I'm thinking of getting back into the biz. i just fired up my old pump in order to clean it out and then remembered why I hated it so much

So, anyone else got a pump with an annoying buzz, which'll often make your case rattle? This has been my first pump, so I don't know if this is normal or not. I've got a Hydor Seltz L20 II (AC, 14W, 700l/hr). Bzzzzzzzzzzzz!

Any recommendations for a relatively-cheapish replacement pump? AC/DC?

never liked the Hydor pumps. If you want another AC pump, get an Eheim. The 1250 is superb but large by today's standards. If you want DC, you could do worse than getting a DB-1 which is tiny, 12v and would achieve the same flow as your Hydor.

Hmm, ok. Do you know how it sounds? I don't wanna chuck mine just to find that they're all meant to buzz

My one once made a whine noise. Realised the tube was touching the side panel.
