I don't think dogs can get mixe, but was the rabbit just sitting there with foam coming out of its mouth? Cause they are the signs of mixe, also the eyes coming out the sockets cause crows have come down and tried to eat them! I won't go into detail!

Your dog has done the rabbit a favour (if it was still alive?). Myxymatosis is nasty and only affects rabbits (and hares?).

My girlfriend's dogs spend most of their time hunting rabbits in her garden. It's what dogs do - they eat all sorts of crap, must be immune to pretty much everything.
