My dog, aged 15 this morning just started to shake and was laying flat on the floor unable to support his own body weight.

He was later sick and couldn't make it outside to do his dirty work! :p

He's just been taken to the vets, fearing the worse I might add. :(

Waiting for the news off parents...

Anyone elses dog gone like this before?

sounds like your going to have to be making some hard decisions soon...be kind and dont let it linger!

its sad but its the right thing to do...if it is serious...if not the vet will fix it up.

Yes my old dog and she came through just fine. Don't give up hope.

I wish you and your family all the best.

sounds like liver troubles, im sure you as a family will know what to do when the time is right, i always think there is peace in decisions like this. the vet will know what is what and you can always get 2nd options if you don't feel at ease.

He had heart failure and was put to sleep. It took them 10 mins to find his pulse. :(

Words can't describe how I feel right now.

R.I.P Bob :(

15 years is a good age, but that's no consolation if you've grown up with it I guess... same thing happened to my dog, was the same age as me exactly and died aged 16. I was absolutely gutted. Even though ultimately its just a pet, the loss of what is effectively the family mascot leaves a gaping hole..

15 years of joy for both of you ..... have a look at some old photo's, if you have 'em and shed a few tears, then move on.

Kind regards, singist.

ps my old girl is 12 now and getting more feeble by the week so I think that I'll have this to face, in the near future myself.
