Dogs - Peanuts

Left the room for one minute earlier and my dog had nicked a pack of KP salted peanuts from my desk and was making short work of them.

Don't think she ate many of them before I took them away.

Since, she is onto her 2nd bowl of water in about 2 hours which is unusual for her.

Would they be bad for dogs? I know salt isn't particuarly good for them.

it is OK to give them peanut butter snacks but not straight peanuts

Considering they eat other dogs s##t, I am sure a few if KP's finest will not cause too many problems. Might watch the rear end for the next few hours though

am sure they would be bad for dogs with the salt content...

They eat them so they can eat them again in their poo if they don't digest properly.

Pretty sure I've heard somewhere macadamia nuts are poisonous to dogs - not sure about peanuts though?

Get a spoonfull of peanut butter and let your dog lick it straight off the spoon and watch what happens.... pretty funny

Your dog will be fine. Mine stole a whole double layer box of chocolates... ate both layers and went hyper, but ended up OK. Chocs are supposed to be poison for a dog.
