Doh! Dropped my Ixus 55..

My Canon Ixus fell out of my pocket when I was getting out of the taxi. It's my own fault because I should have had it in its carrycase - ah well.

The LCD screen is cracked but everything else is working. Instead of sending it to a repair centre, I've decided to try and fix it myself.

Has anyone ever ordered spare parts for Canon cameras from the UK? A girl in this thread thread managed to buy an LCD for $35 from Canon but that was in the States.

The screen is 2 1/2 inches which is larger than usual. I don't want to spend more than €100 on it.

Update:

Ixus 55 LCD screen: £35.25 inc postage from www.lehmannsdirect.co.uk. I don't thinks it's a competitor because they only sell parts.

Excellent price for a 2.5inch screen. Better than forking out €200 at Canon repairs!

I did the same thing with an ixus 430 I was given, see this thread. It was quite easy to do. I got my screen from the same place btw.

I scratched up my Ixus 55 screen recently. Bit annoyed. How easy is it for someone who's not particularily good with fiddly things, to fix?
