I bought one of these recently

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-005-OC&groupid=43&catid=967&subcat=

and very nice it is too. But somehow, in the process of getting OSX86 to load, I lost all my overclock settings in the BIOS (don't ask me how, all I did was disable the SATA hard drive).

From memory, it was overclocked to about 3.2Ghz, and the only other number can I remember was that the multiplier was set to x9. I went for the 4Gb of RAM as an option and so it was overclocked slightly slower than in the spec above.

Is anyone familar with this setup and can give me some clues as to what I settings I should be using in uGuru? Currently, I have it set back to

CPU OPERATING SPEED: 'User Defined'
External Clock: 350Mhz
Multipler Factor: x9
Estimated New CPU Clock: 3150Mhz
DDRAM Speed (CPU: DRAM): Default (DDR2-1050)
PCI Express: 100Mhz

Voltage: Auto Detect
CPU Core Volt: 1.3
DDR2: 1.8
CPU VTT: 1.2
MCH 1.25V Voltage: 1.25
ICH 1.050 Voltage: 1.05
ICHIO 1.5V Voltage: 1.50V
DDR2 Reference: 0%
CPU GTLREF 0&2: 67%
CPU GTLREF 1&3: 67%

I'm a novice in all this and am largely guessing. Thanks for any advice.

Things are getting weirder. Just booted into Vista x64 and ran the BurnIn test software that came preinstalled and the processor is back to 2.4Gh.z Rebooted into the BIOS, and sure enough the uGuru screen is back to stock speeds again.

Crashing at POST sounds plausible - will look into it. Cheers.

Am having some success with OSX86 on this setup. Getting Xbench results of 250+ which makes this PC a bargain compared to the MAC equivelant at nearly £2300

I do own a proper PowerMac 12", so I'm semi legal as long as I don't use both at the same time :)
