DOH! washing machine incident

my (well my mums but i use it) phone just took a trip around the washing machine, is there any hope that the phone will still work after ive dried it off?

im trying to take it apart to dry it out inside but its got some stupid screws i cant undo, even if the phone doesnt work again is there any way to get the pictures off it?

anyone ever had this happen and the phone worked after (i think the phone was on when it took its washing trip)

nope, just took it out the washing machine, took battery and sim card out, just leaving it for a while (might stick it in the airing cupboard for a while) to let it dry out
