Hi,

Just putting together my new system with a Asus P7H55-M board. My question is about the 8 pin power socket near the CPU. For some reason there's a small black cap over 4 of the pins (see attached image). Do I just remove it and plug in the 8 pin cable, or is it telling me to use the older 4 pin cable in the 4 open holes. The cap just clips right off if you pull it, but I can't figure out what it's there for.

Here's a close up view of the cap on half of the 8 pin power connector-

Thanks in advanced :)
Simon.

Thanks guys, everything working fine with the full 8 pins connected :)

Can't wait to try some GTA4 on my new I5-760.

Mine is a HX520 too, and it's only just long enough to be able to be able to reach and tidy it away nicely. That's mainly cause it's a Antec 300 case though with the PSU at the bottom.

In other news, GTA4 rocks with an I5-760
