Doing a totally different job these days??

I used to work for Hp doing Technical support for their field engineers but it came to a horrible end after 10 years come June this year. I have now retrained to become a Credit management consultant however I miss my old job as I was always in a Technical role.

Have any of you guys found yourself in the same position? Im well enough qualified but the work just isn't here

I was an accountant by trade and around 5 years ago decided i was bored and left my permi job (cushy number) and am now a full-timer contractor doing Project Managing.

I do not miss my old job, less pay, more work

Yeah I've been in the wood working trade since I left school. Got qualifications in cabinet making, upholstery and carpentry and joinery. Up until I moved here just over a year ago I was a supervisor for a salon furniture manufacturer.
Now I make chocolate at Lindt usa.
