i have the Creative Inspire T6100 5:1 speakers and powerdvd.

theres an option in powerdvd to enable 'lfe' - low frequency effect, but it warns not to enable unless the speakers can take up to 120hz -- i cant any information on my speakers despite 90 minutes trawling through creatives horrible website.

all i want to do is enjoy my dts dvds with the best audio i can given my not exactly mind blowing setup and the information is buried .. buried i tells ya ! :)

anyone help ? btw my soundcard is audigy 2 zs if that helps.

just enabled it:) LFE is the .1 sound channel stored on dvd's ect in any dd/dts mix in any one of their many varieties. without that channel enabled, your missing out on the dedicated LFE information which really makes quite a difference.

is there any other funky settings in windows or powerdvd which provide the best audio experience?

i always wondered what lfe was now i know to avoid it :)

yeah i starting playing around with the creative mixer and in that i noticed it had a bass management option, with a slider to set the crossover - in hertz no less !!

so although im still annoyed they have these options but dont give you the information on them to make a choice, i 'spose its all better now.
