Ive got two GTX780's running on an Asus V Gene, they are just so close together that even after changing fan profile the temps are too hot for GPU1.

Is there another Matx board which has PCIe slots further apart ?

Thanks

The Sniper M5 uses the two furthest away green slots for 8X/8X SLI, leaving a single slot gap in-between dual slot thick cards.

The same is true for the Sniper M3 if you need a Z77 board.

Lovely board, too :D

The GPU in the lowest slot will hang over the bottom of the motherboard, so make sure your case has room for that.

In that case .. Does it render the USB 3.0 and the other USB onboard useless ??

Been looking at pics and it looks as though the card would hang over the onboard gubbins.

It would block the onboard USB 2.0 sockets on the bottom, two of the fan headers, and the front panel connectors. You might still be able to use them, as long as they are all connected before you insert the GPU. I'd contact Gigabyte about that.

The onboard USB 3.0 would be fine as it is to the right of the RAM slots.

Great .. thanks for that. I just dont know if I'm trying to cram too much into a BitFenix Prodigy M. Wish I'd just gone ATX now..

I've had a similar thought too, to be honest, after trying fit stuff into my Lian Li mATX case - I can really see I will go ATX at some point so I can get the cable management, layout and watercooling that I ultimately want.
