Ds3r won't overclock?

Tryed overclocking last night for the first time, hardware is ds3r mobo, e2140 pcu and geil 2gb ram.

In cpu-z it's reading 200mhz x 8 = 1.6ghz stock, now when I go into bios Its reading 266mhz and that's before iv'e changed anything?

Anyway I changed it to 270mhz and saved and it's still reading the same?

Any Ideas what im doing wrong.

Any ideas anyone?

Also when going back into bios it all ways reset it's self to auto on the cpu host frequecy and I am saving after I make change's.

Right dissabled A few thing's Eist, cpu halt, cpu thermall monitor.

Now when I changed the multiplier from 8x to 7x It's gone down to 1400mhz but it should't be 1400mhz because I also changed the fsb to 233 mhz so should be 1631mz?

How can I stop the cpu host clock control from turning it's self back to auto?

Sent A email to gigabyte to see if they can shed some light onto the problem hopefully not a faulty motherboard 6 days old :(
